Hi! I'm new to SP. Could you explain how to use branching rule? I'm playing with demo site , created question s with answers but 'edit branching' isn't clickable. under which circumstances it's working?

Repro steps ----------- 1. create a survey 2. insert a question/text which requires a answer of single selection from a dropdown list(EX:- select a state) 3. set type as single question and select add new question 4. set selection mode to dropdown list (single) and set the minimum selection required and maximum selection allowed to <1> ... click update 5. insert the answer for the question (select US state XML) and check mandatory and update 6. on the menu tab click ASP code, when redirected to the survey preview page (where the actual survey is displayed) try to select a value from the dropdownlist for the "select a state" question 7. click submit Expected Result --------------- the survey should show the selected value from the dropdownlist without any error Actual Result ------------- the survey preview shows the selected value from the dropdownlist and also an error message "At least 1 answer(s) must be selected!" is displayed. Hello,
There are UI items which cannot be found in translation XML:
if you go the 'Results' main menu, then the TabControl's elements would not translated (but the are translated in the main menu's dropdown list) . These are 'Reports', Filters', 'File Manager', 'Data Export, 'Data Import'.
The same occures under Surveys / Security
The untranslated elements under the Reports page: 'Graphical Report', 'Textual Report' and 'Cross Tabulation Report' radiobutton labels.
The untranslated elements under the File Manager page (uploaded files header tab): 'download', 'GroupGuid', 'VoterId'.
The untranslated elements under the Data Import page: 'All data.' and 'Only data in the selected date range.' radiobutton labels.
The untranslated elements under Accounts / Roles / Add new roles: 'DataImport', 'TokenSecurity', 'SurveyLayout' and 'AccessSurveyList' checkbox labels.

In the HELP / Help Options: 'Helpfiles' and 'Startup & Settings' titles, and the whole Helpfiles page.

Please set these elements into the language xml (I have not find them and I enclosed screenshots on them).

Comments: Hello Peter, Thank you for noticing and reporting. You are right there are still some "translation issues" left. We hope to get rid of them step by step in the next releases. Created Feature: Option to view Survey results by Voter [10102]

New feature proposal:
- option to view individual survey results by Voter/ Surveytaker after survey has been submitted;
- results shown similar to voterreports.aspx details
- option to show results (yes/no) can be set at survey settings level
- additional besides viewing: option to print results and/or email to address;

Distinction can be made between:
- Registered Survey user assigned to Survey Taker role: view results inside SP tool
- non registered voters: results shown outside SP tool

Edited Feature: Implement Linked drop-list's useing xml-file and subscriber list [10093]

I am using Version 2.0
I already implemented 2 linked combo's and it works fine with me. Is it possible to extend it to 5 levels (5 combo's linked). I implement it using the subscriber list for every level and made a connection between every one and the previous level. It works for first two combo's correctly. But it does not work correctly starting from level 3. Please comment

In the 'New Answer Type' page when selecting 'SQL query' as data source make it so that there is an option to display the output in a basic field and not in a drop down menu. Perhaps use a condition if the entry is one to simply display that entry.

Edited Feature: Export to Excel [10096]

Since exporting to CSV format is possible, can there also be an option to export the survey in Excel as well?
Perhaps have the headings with the questions' ID horizontally and bellow each of the rows to basically correspond to each of the voters.

For example:

Q1 | Q2 | Q3 | etc | Score
Voter 1| A1 | A2 | A3 | etc | Score1
Voter 2| A1 | A2 | A3 | etc | Score2

Where:
Q1,Q2,Q3 = the question IDs
A1, A2, A3= the answers as inputed (text, numbers, etc)
Score1, Score2, Score3 = the score of each individual voter.

Edited Feature: Backwards Branching [10097]

Backward branching is when the branching does not only redirects forward, but also backwards, allowing the creation of loops. It needs to be so that branching option to allow the page to choose not only the next pages, but also the previous ones.

The database entry that points to the next branching page is in the table "vts_tbBranchingRule", the field [TargetPageNumber].

Testing: I have tested backwards branching by simply changing the value of [TargetPageNumber] in the aforementioned table and pointed it to a previous page. I tested it extensively and it seems to work with only one side effect.

Side effect: Unfortunately, the question numbering doesn't fall back, but instead continues, so for example, if I have:

question#3-in-page_3 -->question#4-in-page_4

And based on the answer I want to loop it back to question#3, we have:

question#3-in-page_3 -->question#4-in-page_4 --> question#3-in-page_3 (but it will be given the number '5' and not '3').

Perhaps when:
[TargetPageNumber]<[CurrentPageNumber] => revert the numbering to the number of the first question in [TargetPageNumber]

When I try to create or import survey I have the error:

The INSERT statement conflicted with the FOREIGN KEY constraint "FK_vts_tbSurvey_vts_tbNotificationMode". The conflict occurred in database "SurveyProject", table "dbo.vts_tbNotificationMode", column 'NotificationModeID'.
The statement has been terminated.
