Install Database on a hosted sql server?

I am checking out the survey engine. It looks really cool. I want to install it in a hosted environment and add surveys to my existing site. The database I pay for at the host gives me only one database which I am using to drive my site. What I was hoping to do was to install the tables into my existing database. Is this possible?

One way I was thinking if the script must run as is, was to install it locally in a dev machine and then script the tables and procs (and views and functions if there are any)  and run the script on my database on the host. Is there a better way???

Thanks for the help!

Hello Jeff,

Nice to hear you like the SP tool. Technically it's possible to run SP on a DB that's already use for you site. Although I would advise to backup your database first before running any scripts. Also if possible test the combination locally before you run it in production.

You can use the SP script for an existing database. All tables and stored procedures start with the vts_ name. So they are easily recognised.

Hope this will help you out.

Kind regards
